Becoming a member of the Orange County Chapter (OC-ALA) is a two-step process.  It is first necessary to be a member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA).  Click here to review ALA's membership eligibility criteria. For more information about becoming a member of ALA, and to apply for membership, visit The Case for ALA Membership on the ALA website.  When you're done, then return to this page to apply for membership in our chapter.

Criteria for OC-ALA Membership

Membership in the Chapter is comprised primarily of individuals engaged on a full-time basis in the management of legal organizations, and consists of Regular and Associate Members as defined and provided for in the chapter's Bylaws.  Membership in the Chapter is not open to consultants and business partners who are engaged by legal organizations.

Statement and Understanding:

By proceeding, you hereby attest that you meet the criteria for membership as noted.  You understand that ALA membership is not issued to organizations and is NOT TRANSFERABLE from one individual to another.  You understand that annual chapter dues are $75.00 (payable to OC-ALA).  Dues are renewable each January.

Dues will be pro-rated to $18.75 for new members who join our chapter October 1 or later.  The discount will be automatically applied at the conclusion of the online registration and billing process.

In addition to the chapter dues described above, all new and renewing members have the option to select a "Membership & Meetings" package.  This level of membership includes the basic dues for 2018 as described above, but also includes attendance at all 7 general meetings slated to be held in 2020.  Click here for more details.

You understand that you must be a member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA Headquarters) to be eligible for membership in the Orange County Chapter.  You agree to provide us with a copy of your ALA Headquarters application upon request.

Your application will be reviewed by Chapter board members to determine eligibility and membership categories.

Review the membership options below, then click on the member type for which you qualify:
